Big Red Wrestlers Bring Home Trophies From Ohio

Brock and Blake Whorton traveled to Ohio to compete in the River Wrestling Open.  Wrestlers from Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania were present for this tournament.  Brock Whorton won by fall, tecnical fall, and an overtime decision on his way to earning first place in the 9-10 year-old division 55 pound weight class.  His brother Blake Whorton was the tournament runner-up losing 7-2 in his final match of the day in the 7-8 year-old 45 pound weight class. 

Brock and Blake will compete on March 14, 2009 for the NC AAU State Championships.
